Why it exists

Spreadsheets weren't built for this

A points strategy generates a surprising amount of bookkeeping: a dozen loyalty balances, cards with rotating credits, annual fees on different anniversaries, and miles that quietly expire. Miss one detail and real money evaporates — an unused $200 credit here, 40,000 expired miles there. CardMaster replaces the spreadsheet (and the memory) with a system.

Why CardMaster exists

Features

Everything it tracks for you

CardMaster features

Track points and miles balances

One dashboard for every airline, hotel, and transferable-points balance you have — no more logging into ten programs to remember what you've earned.

Track credit card benefits and credits

Airline fee credits, dining credits, travel credits — see every recurring benefit on your cards and whether you've used it yet this year.

Track annual fees

Know exactly when each annual fee posts and what you're getting for it, so keep-or-cancel decisions happen on your schedule, not the bank's.

Expiration reminders

Get reminded before points and miles expire, while there's still time to extend or use them. Expired points are the most expensive mistake in this hobby.

Household management

Manage cards and balances for multiple household members in one account — the way families actually earn and use points together.

Built by a points traveler

CardMaster is the tool Jim built to run his own 5-million-point strategy — shaped by real use, not by what looks good in a demo.

Register at cardmaster.traveltechnician.info. New accounts require approval, which keeps the platform limited to real people.

  2. 2

    Add your programs and cards

Enter the loyalty programs, balances, cards, benefits, and annual fees you want to track. CardMaster never connects to your bank accounts.

  3. 3

About approval and your data

New accounts are approved individually — it keeps the platform limited to real people and support personal. CardMaster never connects to your bank or card accounts and never asks for banking credentials: you enter only the balances and benefits you choose to track, and your account is protected by standard authentication. CardMaster is a separate application from this website, with separate accounts and data.

FAQ

CardMaster questions, answered

CardMaster FAQ

Is CardMaster really free?

Yes. CardMaster is free to use. It exists because Jim built the tool he needed to manage his own points and cards, and opening it up helps more people stay organized.

Why do new accounts need approval?

Approval keeps the platform limited to real people and lets support stay personal while CardMaster grows. After you register, your account is reviewed and you'll receive access — typically within a day or two.

Does CardMaster connect to my bank or credit card accounts?

No. CardMaster does not link to your financial accounts and never asks for banking credentials or card numbers. You enter and update the balances, benefits, and fees you want to track — you stay in control of your data.

Can I track cards and points for my whole household?

Yes. CardMaster is built for households: you can manage cards and loyalty balances for multiple family members in one place, which is where most families' points strategies fall apart when tracked in spreadsheets.

What reminders does CardMaster send?

CardMaster can remind you before points or miles expire and helps you keep an eye on annual fee dates and unused statement credits, so benefits you're paying for don't quietly go to waste.

Is CardMaster connected to this website's data?

No. CardMaster is a separate application at cardmaster.traveltechnician.info with its own accounts. Nothing you do on this website is connected to CardMaster user data.
